She began her career at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and worked as a staff nurse with children suffering from cancer and HIV/AIDS.

At university she studied Medical Related Studies and theology before embarking on a PhD exploring healing in the Ethiopian church.

Trained as a counsellor, Grief Recovery Method Specialist, funeral celebrant and end-of-life planning facilitator, she brings a lifetime of experience working with individuals and families experiencing loss through illness, bereavement, domestic abuse, approaching death and more.
